Sisters Circle: Supporting Survivors, Ending FGM/C
On Zero Tolerance Day, people come together to reflect, raise awareness, and take action. This day is not just a reminder of the pain caused by female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C), but also an opportunity to acknowledge the strength and resilience of the survivors. Amani Women Center is hosting a special group therapy session as part of their commitment to support those affected by this harmful practice and to discuss what can be done to help end FGM/C for good.
The Sisters Circle, their group therapy session, is a safe space for women to share their experiences, seek comfort, and find solidarity with others who understand their pain. In these circles, healing begins—not only through talking but through the connection that forms between survivors. It’s a reminder that no one should have to face their struggles alone. Together, we can help survivors reclaim their power and rebuild their lives.
