More Information

Description

The Story of Fatu and Crissy was written with high school students in mind. The story introduces the cultures, and traditions of some FGM/C practicing countries. This book was reviewed by schoolteachers and parents that home-school their children. The story will help the students understand what vacation cutting is, and ways in which it can be prevented, if detected. There is a review and quiz exercise after the story. This book is designed to give the students a clear understanding of FGM/C in student-friendly language. It is the hope of Global Woman P.E.A.C.E. Foundation that the use of this book will inspire the students to help prevent other students from being taken out of the country for “vacation cutting.”
